Since there isn't really a rules-section on the forum I'll ask it here:

I know about regular masters, unique masters, "once per game"-masters (giant's blood), trifles, (unique) locations and others. However, I'm unsure about archetypes and trophies: are they any different than regular masters? If so, in which way to they differ?

Archetypes are easy: they do something to the minion they are on, if a certain condition is met. Everything you need to know about them, is on the card itself.
For trophies you need to look in the rulebook (from the card itself, you cannot see what you have to do to trigger the trophy). Refer to the rulebook (section 1.6.2. Master Cards) for full trophy explanation. Please also note that a trophy deck is far from easy (Bram: yes, this is a challenge for you :) )

In general Paths reduce the cost for cards of a certain discipline, for a certain clan.
Archetypes are put on a vampire, paths are put into play.

Path of Blood, The
Type: Master
Requires: Assamite
Cost: 1 pool
Unique master.
Put this card in play. Cards that require Quietus [qui] cost Assamites 1 less blood. Any minion may burn this card as a (D) action; if that minion is a vampire, he or she then takes 1 unpreventable damage when this card is burned.

Path of the Void does not follow the 'Path of the <thing>, the' template. As far as I remember, this is the only path-like card that does not follow this template.
