Since we got a free vtes-collection from David last year, we had the idea of doing something with the cards that would benefit the belgian VTES-players. As it is hard for new players to get cards (well it's not that hard, but it costs time) we have set up a shared collection of cards. All of the cards that David donated are in this collection. We build decks with this, and anyone can borrow this decks for as long as they want to (or untill we ask the deck back to make new decks with the cards).
The goal is to maximize the use of cards that would otherwise lay sleeping in someone's drawers. We try to build competitive decks with the available card pool.
Currently Bram and myself are handling the collection.
Donate stuff: cards, sleeves, prints of DM or TU cards, ...
Provide decks ideas (that can be built with the available cards, no we don't have 45 freak drives for a Una-riffic deck)
Play with the decks and provide feedback (for example here on the forum).
Promote this with your friends who occasionally play vtes
So how does it work?
Contact me or Bram which deck you'd like to play. Plan this ahead. One day before the tournament you intend to win, is too late.
If we don't have that deck ready, we'll try to build it.
We arrange that the decks gets to you. All of the cards are currently stored in Ghent. You will receive a sleeved deck, with a card list. When you are done playing with it, you give back all the cards + sleeves
Gladly listening your comments, questions and recommandations
Fantastic initiative! As for contributions, I have kept aside for a long time a bunch of cards to donate to potential new players, and this could be a good occasion to put them to some use, if you agree.
